Can we please delete Lower Priority Oueue?

It really gets us no where. Suppose Jimmy has 1 hour of playing time. One day, Jimmy had to go out for an emergency. He got slapped into a LPQ. Now Jimmy has to wait 10-20 mins just to start a game. In 40 minutes, Jimmy can't complete a game since he doesn't want his team to suffer. Now, Jimmy is in an endless loop of wasting time and of wasting teammates' time.

Edit: You could always play bots, but have fun having 100 minutes of frustration. And plus, if you accidentally don't react to the queue, oh well, wait another 20 minutes. GIVE US A GODDAMN TOKEN SYSTEM kthx.

Destroy Lower Priority Queue. Riot, please.

I just can't stand suffering trying to play with my friends if they have the LPQ , and whats worse you can't even check other things like your profile or the shop. you are stuck waiting until the overlay goes away.

You don't get LPQ for your first offense no matter what the circumstances. The first leave is the warning that makes you type "I agree". The lowest they say it takes to get punished is 2 but Ive never actually heard of someone getting punished with less than 3 total leaves. Maybe if you left like 2 out of your first 3 games on an account or something.

But the thing is, the time is too oppressive. 20 minutes!??? That's almost half a game! 1-2 day bans are fine, but LPQ is just straight out horrible.

That 20 minute timer is after AT LEAST 2 previous punishments and a warning. Its not like its for a first time offense.

If you think its so horrible then that should be all the more incentive to make sure you can finish games when you queue.

No, it is given on a first time offense for leaver buster, 5 LPQ's right off the bat, soon as you get a punishment.

Your first punishment for leaving will be 5 games, but they will only be 5 minutes each, not 20.

I dont think its counter productive at all. Bans are basically just say go play your next favorite game for a few days. Or really with league being free you just log onto your smurf for a few days. LPQ forces you to actually experience your punishment. It is also fitting since leaving games wastes other peoples time. It also simply limits the amount of games you can effect since you can't play as many games.

Isn't making you have less time to play ironic? I mean this system was created to punish people for leaving: but this reduces your play time EVEN MORE. I like where this debate is going though: you are giving good points. Please reply.

Under normal circumstances riot wants you to play more. However if you are doing something to be punished that stops being the case. If someone is leaving games they are ruining games.

Being able to play a game from start to finish is your responsibility. Why should other people who put in the time, money, and consideration have to suffer because someone else didn't?

Shit happens. Everyone is going to DC or have to leave a game at some point. But if its happening enough to get punished then you need to be looking at the causes and making changes. Maybe that means you need a new computer or need to contact your ISP about fixing your internet. For some it just means they need to put a little more consideration to when they actually have time to dedicate to playing.

Yeah, I said the same thing back when i used to afk. "20 min too long, I haven't afked in 10 days." Now I never afk, ever, due to different circumstances. So don't start a match unless you know you can finish it. That way, if you actually have a legitimate emergency, you won't end up in the lp queue. It resets btw. I got a message 6 weeks ago saying "thank you for afking less, you have been removed from the lp queue." If you play more responsibly you will eventually get out of the lp queue and you should stop afking, it's annoying and I now see the punishment as necessary, even if it doesn't improve your behavior.

Jimmy should know the consequences of leaving a match if the emergency was really urgent. Not everything has to come in free.

Then he should be fine being paid for the price of leaving a game. It's like an Olympic Marathon, where there's a single runner in a 2000 m race who was acknowledged that his mother was in a car accident. The runner has put up lots of thinking to it, and after about 1200m, he happens to run off the track only to hurry to see his mother knowing that he will be DQ after this. And do you think the managers will be that willing to cancel the current race & re-schedule for it again? Of course not, they'll just disqualified you to save the trouble for both the spectators & competitors.

What I'm trying to say is, if you really really care about something deeply, then there should be no problem of you taking the risk to abandon something you're in the middle of for the greater good.
