@Lore Team - New Lore?
So...is Riot planning on doing anything regarding the new lore? Like, increase it as you release new Shuriman tidbits? Or is that horrifying excuse for lore going to actually stand, and become a new standard for the game?

I securely hope that it is increased to a point were it does not look like a ten year old could have written it. Two sentences is a pathetic excuse for lore of a character, It cheapens who they are and what they stand for. Put the old lore back and undo the ret-con you have made.
I believe Riot is no longer aspiring to make a good story; they just want to sit on their asses and watch the money roll in. It is sad, that what once was an immersive background that gave personality and life to each champion is reduced to excrement and labeled as something to be appreciated.

they might, but my bet is they will let it die so they can stop "wasting" money on the lore team not like their lore team has been trying for the past 5 champs anyway
The horrifying excuse for lore is going to stand not just for the Shurima-related champs, but for ALL of the champs! Why, you may ask? Remember this Dev Blog from almost 2 weeks ago?

Then Of Gent Intent asked this:
So can we get a solid, 100% certain, that Summoners, the Institute, and all of that is no longer canon?
And Rioter Carnival J answered back with this:
Good question! No, Summoners, the Fields of Justice and the Institute are not canon within the fictional world of Runeterra. In-game, players are still referred to as summoners - but summoners won't be part of the story.
Basically, they're gutting the core lore of LoL. They'll be gutting ALL of the champions' bios, scripts, etc. It won't be LoL anymore, it'll just be... L. Legends. That's it. This really makes the game feel worthless to play if they're getting rid of the story. If the champions have no story to them, then what's the point in playing them? Honestly, Riot never cared about the lore of LoL to begin with, which is why they gutted the Journal of Justice (JoJ). I don't know what storyline they're gonna try and come up with, now that they've decided to shred the LoL lore apart.
It's starting to become apparent that Riot cares about themselves and their game more than the players. They've gutted matchmaking, they're gutting the lore now, and I honestly don't expect the Tribunal and Leaver Buster systems to be any different from what they were before after the "changes". And the player support team won't even help you out! They just give you some bs script of "we're sorry to hear this...". Like, recently, I got a 2 week ban for harassment and violating the ToS. I don't even remember what I did, so I'm asking them to show me in-game chat logs and such so I can know where I went wrong. But they're not going to show me because they firmly believe that once a punishment has been dealt out, the problem is over.
Hell, I won't be surprised if they make LoL pay-to-play and start adding crappy DLCs! Starting to turn into EA here. If this is the way LoL is going, then it might not be worth playing it or any future games put out by Riot. I have never trusted big, corporate entities and Riot is just re-affirming my belief in that.
Im pretty exited to see what they do with the new lore there actually getting really detailed with story telling now its pretty exiting.
The short lore on the game client will stay. It is intended as a short summary, just to give people a basic idea of who the champion is. If they want more information, then they go to that champion's page on the website
I don't Feel like they Should abandon the Old Lore, But have some Sort of Cataclysmic event. Off the Top of my Head, here's some that i think would work with the Direction they want to go:
Xerath Breaks free from Summoner Control and Destroys the institute
Azir Finds the League is a direct threat to the Rebirth of Shurima
All-out War Breaks loose and the League becomes a target.
Jinx has too Much Fun and Blows up everything ever.
Mordekaiser shows the league why he is still number one huehuehuehuehue
Ao Shin Is Released but he is too powerful for the summoners and he Destroys the Institute of War.
A Corrupt Summoner manages to take control over the league, Making it become the main Antogonist Force in LoL
Facebook buys Riot and requires everyone to sign in on Facebook to play, Resulting in the Gradual Decline and eventual Abandonment of LoL
The Void opens a Massive Portal. Scary shit Happens.
Fizz's People invade Valoran
Gragas gets Hungry.
A Corrupt power company (Ao Shin-ra) makes a killing off of a new power source, Known as Shako. A rebel group (Snowdown) Consisting of Garen, Vi, Urgot, and a few others blow up one of the power plants. Eventually as events continue and they Get more Powerful they find learn that the Main antagonist (Yasuo-roth) is made from the Genetic Material of a super powerful and Ancient Being (Lissandr-enova) and eventually must take him down after be becomes a large- angel like Creature. Eventually, as it turns out, Runeterra had the whole thing under Control and The plane itself Destroys Yasuo-roth.
