Am I wrong to try new things in normals?

Me and some friends were playing some normals and I decided to try Nunu support, something I have never done before. I died a lot so the Yasuo on my team started raging about me feeding. I told him it was my first time in this role as this champion and that I was just having fun trying new things and he kept complaining about how I didn't pick a champion I main. If this was ranked, then I would get why he was angry, but this was normals so why did he feel the need to freak out so much? :(

No, it isn't wrong to try new things in normals, as long as you walk in with a mindset that tries to win.

The problem is that your dying a lot, not that it is a new champ. Playing smart when you are weak is not champ dependent. You tried hiding behind "I am new to this champ "card and it does not fly.

When play pvp people assume you know what you are doing even (game play wise) even on a new champ. The fundamentals do not change cause the champ has changed.

Yeah the guy should not of freaked out, but i have the feeling you were doing what ever you wanted and looked like a troll.

First and foremost did you actually tell your teammates you were trying something new? That is what i feel is most important about this whole ordeal! While Normals isnt suppose to be serious (as in not as serious as Rank) people still want you to try your best! If you just picked a champ and said nothing like this is my first time, or im trying something new! Then i can see why they raged as they did.
