Does riot, or the community, have any good ideas to combat rampant toxicity that is everywhere?

I mean yea, I understand raging and getting madsummoner 14 in certain cases, it happens to every gamer. But I have experienced more uncalled for hatred, toxicity and racism on League than I ever have on (dare I say it) Xbox live. I really love this game, I love the community, most of the time and I genuinely am hooked. I have a really good example of this, I recently played a 5v5 non ranked draft pick, I was the first pick and it ended up being a great game. I am a support main and I went in as LeonaLeona . I thought this little interaction in the lobby needed to be shared with the world. Unfortunately riot prohibits me from posting our names, so I have just changed it to the characters we played. I was sickened by this, seriously I am 26 and have been a gamer all my life, who does this??

we did great but then after the game: Ashe: see leona Ashe: tats how youteach a stupid immigrant Ashe: now dont question me

he went 9/0 and I was 2/2/9 I literally tanked him all of his kills as Leona, I didn't talk to him at all in game and yet I get this. Why are these people allowed to play. Also, who talks like that? Who in this modern area is THAT racist.

I really wish riot would allow me to post his name, the reporting system is broken and he will never see punishmentsummoner 11 for this behavior.

In order to explain why that rule is in place, I must ask: How do I know that any of what you claim here is true?

I mean, I believe you, don't get me wrong. But I have no way to know that it's true. And while you might claim "I would never lie about someone like this" - and while that may be true, it's also true that there are people who would. And since the rules must apply to everyone (not just some), people like yourself are caught up in it.

As usual, the people who would abuse something ruin it for everyone else.

What evidence do you have of this claim?

I constantly see players being punished and complaining about it here - I can't imagine that that represents all of the players out there. The behavior displayed in your quote by itself warrants a minimum 2-week ban, and possibly a perma-ban, by the current standards Riot uses.

Reports are the way to ensure that a case is put before them. If you don't think that's enough, submit a Support ticket - that also puts the information directly in front of them.
