why is Gold such trash?

ever since gold 6-8 loss's come because my team REFUSES to end, they get all 3 inhibs and then they just afk farm till they up... get them again, then 20 minutes later team still hasn't ended... wait for their team to scale up and lose. legit happened 3 times in the past 4 games, so you silver or bronzies think its gets better, it doesn't, gets worse, toxicity is worse, people still afk troll rage after 1st blood,
