Why no spectate mode

Hello Developers,

I have always been into watching other people play on the famous Summoners RIft. I enjoy when you guys have the links to the professional league players when they are playing their splits and/or tourneys. But you guys have removed one of my favorite modes and I am confused on why. Spectate mode was something that I loved. Allowed for people to watch the higher end league players play their game. I would greatly appreciate if spectate mode was put back, but if not a nice reasoning to why.
