LoL and all other video games will never be considered a sport
League of Legends, probably the most popular multi-player game out there and leading the charge for a change in view of video games as a whole, is actually setting this desired achievement. "Toxic" players are indeed a problem - but guess what, if the game is to be ever considered a sport or even taken seriously by the public eye, Riot Games needs to figure out that its the players job to deal with toxic players themselves. The internet is in a new age and anywhere you go you'll find forms of it, even in the most friendly of places. In real sports, players have to have the mental state to ignore harassment and stay focused on the game. What's ironic is, in sports there isn't a mute button. Well it just so happens there's on in LoL. So what am I getting at, or what's this post? STOP TAKING TOXICITY SERIOUSLY. It really isn't a problem and players who can't handle it honestly have no place in this world, because there's no escaping it - in game or outside of game.
