Riot, ranked games with "ignored" players

I just dodged in my solo que ranked champion select. The reason? I had just finished a game with a toxic duo. I had ignored one of them for saying "noob ashe" and worse any time I made a mistake. After that game I wanted to play again and I was placed in the que with the same duo. My options at this point:

  1. Play a game with 2 players who already did not like me, blamed the previous games loss on me, and I muted in the last game
  2. Play the game with 2 allies muted
  3. Dodge to avoid being subjected to more harassment

I chose option 3 because I did not want to be harassed the entire game or play with 2/5ths of my allies unable to communicate with me.

Why do I feel punished for trying to play with people who aren't being jerks?

In a normal situation you don't know if people are going to be toxic but in this case, I had JUST finished a game with these two.

Riot, please stop placing us in games with players we have ignored in game.

That would be beautiful, but remember that somebody's gotta play with 'em unless they're banned. So it's just a question, whether it's you, or me.

I have about 20 people total on my ignored list. 20. It doesn't seem like a burden to find me a match without those people considering how many people play this game!

The problem is, Riot doesn't want to risk alienating any potential source of income, so they don't punish toxic players or people who leave games very effectively. IMO if there was a better community of players, the number of people playing (and enjoying, therefore potentially paying more money for) LoL might actually go up.

It would be fantastic if people who you ignore are removed from your potential pool of team-mates, because over time it would filter jerks, trolls, and abusive assholes into a separate pool of players from the pool of players who actually want to co-operate with their team and win games. It doesn't seem like that hard of an idea to implement.

I mean, think of it this way.

Summoner X is an asshole to his entire team. Game ends, he gets 4 Ignores/reports/whatever.

Next game, has has 4 fewer people to be matched with. He's an ass again, and gets 4 more ignores/blocks.

Pretty soon, he's gonna be out of good, honest people that just want to enjoy the game. He'll be playing with nothing but stupid trolls on both teams, no one will have any fun... and they'll all leave. Troll problem, solved!

I agree, usually you ban someone for a reason. It may help make the community more peaceful IMO if those you have banned are not put in your pool of potential team-mates. Something more needs to be done for ragers and jerks, and this would help the community police itself.

just had to dodge cause we had annie supp and me mid, and some troll picks anivia because apparently annie support is 'trash'.

Now I lose the lp I worked hard for, and have to wait 5 mins to play again.

I reported a player for intentionally feeding and denying the adc any cs (Player had 17 deaths and our adc had 23 cs at the 20 minute surrender time). I queued for my next match and he was there and locked in the same TwistedFate 'support' with summoner 11 {{summoner:10}}. Needless to say I dodged for the first time EVER in 4 years of playing and I was the one to lose LP and a wait for my next match. I can almost guarantee in the next match he did the same thing...

System is incredibly flawed but I doubt it will be addressed.
