well for your question its because unlike ranked normals are more fun no risk if you loose and the reward of winning being the reward if everything was ranked im sure not everyone would play and as for your own delema id say just dont play ranked next season and try to play with bronze maybe silvers depending on your own skill gap and try playing with friends most importantly if you got competent unranked friends then less chance of feeding and no dealing with gold+
