Ranked and draft mode

So... Today i was like hey i'm going to buy and tryout Vel'koz. And so nothing new i buy him with the IP. i unlock Vel'koz, so insetad of going into a blind pick to get my champion I go to draft pick and queue up for draft mode with mid as my primary and top as my secondary. i get top and then i switch with the midlaner for mid, i play the whole game and lose... then im like ok ima play ranked, i don't queue up as mid primary because i wouldn't second time vel'koz in ranked he takes to much skill. I win the next game, and then i look at the after screen and realize that i gained no LP in between the last game. I should've been at 90 LP not 70 LP. I then check my match history to see if memory failed me and to only see that the vel'koz game i played in ranked.... i ment to play it in draft mode...... this makes me really angry, because i thought i queued up for normal draft but it was ranked. I am inarticulate to how this frustrates me so much... just thought something should happen to distinguish between them more.
