It's a discussion, not a flame war. Will the pissing contest end?

As an avid (or formerly avid) league player and member of a growing E-sports community (not so stock gaming) I come onto the forums (no, boards) to kill some of my (ever so sparse) free time.

I find more and more when there is a discussion worth reading, if not in the first response than in the first five, that it quickly degrades into a giant pissing contest. Now, I understand this thread with either be ignored or go the same route, but realize we are all human (for the most part) and everything is subjective; why not take a moment to actually discuss the point of view expressed in posts as opposed to telling the person with their opinion that they specifically are worthless pieces of trash who should go kill themselves (after uninstalling league of course, heaven forbid they don't uninstall!)

If you missed the satirical tone, no I am not telling you to go kill yourself, however should you feel I am; feel free to discuss it with the closest health care professional so you can receive the assistance you need.
