New game?

Does anyone know a good f2p game that is playable on a semiregular basis. i cant take it anymore. i lost it with league. its just not even fun anymore. i play it more to kill time than anything at this point because i dont have anything better to do. i just want a game that if i really like it and want to play it for a while im not gonna get burnt out on it. Ive tried rpg's like guild wars 2 but when it gets to where its just a grind fest or when the only thing youre playing for is cosmetics it just gets boring. Anyone know something better to play? The toxic bs and just feeling the the game is against you almost 24/7 feels real shitty.

thumb wars (if you have a friend) tic tac toe (assuming you can find a stick and some dirt/sand/mud; this you can play even without a friend)

If you're talking about PC, Kingdom of Loathing is pretty funny. Not sure how much active player base it has right now, but you should still be able to do the 1P aspect of it fairly straightforwardly. I had some friends that enjoyed Dungeons & Dragons Online, too.

Free to play games that have tons of content aren't exactly super common. And GW2 had hundreds of hours of content just from the story; it took me about a year straight to get through all the racial, guild, and post-guild story lines, and I did practically no multiplayer content. The one MMO I did play for a long time (FFXI), I wasn't into the grinding or gear. The fun I got from that game was all about competency- was I able to find a fun group of people to play with, and then efficiently clear all difficult the end game content? etc.

Also, you could consider getting a job (even if you're young and it's just babysitting or mowing lawns). Then you'd have legal access to the incredibly huge library of paid content the world has created over the past ~3 decades.

I'm actually 20 and married with a job lol. I just don't have the money to spend on games right now. Trust me, there are some games i'd love to play if i could. And i know there is a lot of content in GW2 and i enjoyed it for a while. Just i have like 1 other person that plays it regularly and they prefer pvp. I personlly hate the pvp. And tbh im really bad about stories in games. It takes a lot to get me involved and a lot of the time i just skip it for the gameplay. I've gotten into like Skyrim and Binding of Isaac and plenty of other games. It really just depends on what gets me interested.

My bad on the no job assumption. If I were you, I'd use emulators in the short term, and then buy copies of what I played later on when there were fewer financial constraints. Or rather, that's what I did do myself; I played tons of SNES and PS1 RPGs when I was in middle school with no money, and then I went and bought the remakes when they came out to assuage my guilt. Admittedly, I'm only suggesting this because I have experience with it; my knowledge of free-to-play online games is really small and largely outdated. (Like playing Gunbound or Maplestory back in 2005 or so lol.)

I do hate pvp myself; that's pretty much why I quit GW2 immediately after I did finish all the available exploration and story content. It's also why I spend hours a day on the LoL forums and get First Win of the Day but actually only play PvP once every week or two when a friend bugs me to, lol.

I just cant fucking take this shit anymore. I dont want every game i play in to be me trying to carry some shitty ass team mates. Like i get flamed when my team feeds their ass off. I cant carry a team when i stomp my lane and then i have to deal with a 3 people on the other team having over 10 kills by like 20 min. It just feels so fucking shitty. Like i got to silver 2 and was in my promos and then almost every game after that has been a loss and about 80% of those was me going even or doing well in lane and then my team just making it fucking impossible. Its not enjoyable at all and it ruins the game. Like i used to play this for hours and now i think that ill go play a few games and then it is just a shitty experience. This game has run its course for at least me and im just about to uninstall because its not even fun anymore. The thought of playing is more fun than actually getting in the game.
