Why is hardly anyone using the LCS NA Icon?

Guys, its 1 IP. It's a free icon. Riot is also looking at giving us a free IP boost or something. I know its not much but all they ask is that we use the icon they are giving us. It's like wearing that ugly sweater your grandma gives you on christmas so she doesn't poison your birthday cake. Plus who doesn't like free shit? Not everyone has tens of thousands of IP saved up because we own everything -......-

It's a hideous icon, released at the same time that several much cooler icons were released.
I haven't read whatever announced a prize for using it.
I like the EU LCS better.
