CS. CS is everything. The maokai got an S because he went support maokai. That's all.
his assists and amount of wards placed may have been the deciding factors, was he support? if he was than the game recognizes it and an assist basically equals .5 of a kill so in the system maokai was about 16/8, it also has to do with damage dealt
KDA is not the main factor in Grades. This is a common misconception. You need to do more than kill the opposing team, warding and counter warding.

as what seems to be a SUPPORT MAOKAI
So I understand what everyone is saying. But in total I had a higher K/D/A (if every assist counts as .5 of a kill) and more farm + I counter warded a shit ton because I rushed red trinket and split pushed for objectives. I dont see how that isnt S worthy.
