Quick question about Yi

So I was top Azir against a Yi and I would trade with him but usually came out ahead. After a while I could poke him down to a 1/4 health pretty easily. Then he would just heal and come back. He would just keep repeating this losing what seemed like no mana. I get how that would make sense if he were only healing, but he was consistently trading with his Q as well. Not only that, but he would trade and with a single Q also clear my caster minions. This was happening until about level 8. At that point he could literally just Q me under the tower, attack me twice and I would die. So my question is how do I deal with Yi?

I would have been fine because I could have just out-farmed him, but he could just tank my damage for the last hits, Q my back line and then go heal. How do I even deal with that?

That's odd, I always have mana issues with Yi, but that guy had neither mana runes nor masteries. did he have mana pots perhaps?

Anyway you did some wrong, you got 80% cdr, which is utterly useless. Anything above 40% is just ignored. The other items may be justifiyable because of their other stats, but Boots of Lucidity do nothing but give cdr. Ninja Tabi would have helped you a lot agaisnt Yi.

Then choose between Morello and Athene, not both if you also have Nashors. You should have gotten an Armguard instead

If you neede more mana, you should take a tear, especially if you have Athene.
