Snowballing

This new update, lets talk. Snowballs now get punished for not being used early enough. This esentially means if you want to carry, your entire team must join you early to push it or your advantage is gone. 5 games now and im not sure what to do. I ward and get fed. But i can never seem to carry. Even putting out the most damage i can not do it. Why do i feel punished for doing well? This is a new feeling and i would like to discuss it with people if they would so desire. Thank you
