Will this PC build work or do I need anything else?
Title says it all. Also, any recommendations on better hardware would be great.

No, get Windows 10. Win 7 does not support DX 12, which future games will make use of.
I don't get the hate of Win 10.
Anyways, for league, you will absolutely wreck. That setup will run league on highest settings above 100 fps.
Personally, I would have gotten more than 8 GB ram. I do some video editing, my 12 GB is almost fully used on my laptop. Don't worry so much about the speed of the ram. It hardly makes a difference. Consider adding an SSD for quick loading and booting times.
Finally, I'd like to say one thing; DO NOT cheap out on power supply. Buy a really good one. If a cheap one fails, every single thing (CPU, GPU, Ram, Motherboard) will get fried. It will destroy the computer. Spend high money on a good one.
Honestly going intel just costs you more money, go AMD and get more for what you spend. Plus you will save on a motherboard because AMD motherboards are cheaper. Also get a GOLD Certified PSU. That is one thing you shouldn't go cheap on.
get rid of windows 10 and put windows 7 on it and you're good to go.
also go NVidia, amd is garbo.
Look into CPU thermal paste. It helps a lot. Usually a fan comes with some base amount with it, but it's nice to have some just in case.
I only went with AMD because my monitor supports "Freesync". Is that worth it or should I still go with NVidia? I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing any fans, Ethernet port, etc. First time building one.
Also, is anything overpriced? Is there anything I can go cheaper on that won't affect much?
Seems alright. League doesnt really need much to run. My dinosaur laptop from 2013 still works on medium
Titles doesn't say it all :)
What do you need it for? When do you need it?
If you want to play LoL, that's a very different answer from "I want to play games released this year at top specs".
If you can wait 3 weeks, buying on the Monday after Thanksgiving will give you really good deals, where you can either spend much less for the same rig, or spend the same amount and get something more powerful.
Also, might want to check the vendor RMA policy for the motherboard and video card. Amazon has its standard 30 day return policy, but I haven't bought hardware off Amazon before, so I don't know whether or not that extends to third party sellers. Of course, you still have the manufacturer RMA policy as a backup, but more lines of defense is good :)
If you're running just LoL then its aight.
I'd guess I'd recommend striving for i7 and high end graphics cards*[slayer-pantheon-thumbs]*
An intel i5 6600k runs better than most i7's honestly and they are overpriced. I also recommend getting windows 7. It's more user friendly. And if you're getting a graphics card that much I recommend this - https://www.amazon.com/MSI-GTX-1070-AERO-8G/dp/B01GUAJMRU/ref=sr_1_2?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1478788169&sr=1-2&keywords=Graphics+card+8gb&refinements=p_n_feature_keywords_five_browse-bin%3A6147187011%2Cp_36%3A1253507011
Really worth the extra 70$ Nvidia is a more trusted brand. But it is your build, go what with what you like!
