I use to play support not because i couldn't play other lanes, but because it was fun and i use to enjoy the role. Since the ADC I use to duo has quit playing League for a while I was forced to play with other... self-dick-jerking-carries cough cough erm... i mean ADCs who always bitch at the support anytime THEY fuck up, the lane is lost, or there aren't enough wards on the map! (EVEN IN THE CURRENT SETUP WITH EVERYONE MAXING AT 3 WARDS!) I've rarely ever heard my ADC say "good job" "nice play" "n1" ect after setting them up a double/trip ect... the only thing i usually see from them is "insert ADC here can't touch this/I'm a god/2leet4you" kind of taunts after such an engage! When I get stuck playing ADC I give my supports the praise and love the deserve! They aren't an ADC's ward dispenser or and extra couple of items and abilities just to keep them alive, they are another player that has the same goal when playing League to be able to achieve a fantasy where they can carry the team and their game in their own way...
It might be just me but i find that ADC mains have a fundamental difference in perspective than their Support counterparts that have to lane with them.
ADC Mains:
- Tend to think the game is about getting them fed and the rest of the team doesn't matter
- Tend to have horrible attitudes when anyone says they've done ANYTHING wrong
- Tend to believe they are the best it doesn't matter if they're Bronze V or Gold I
- Tend to be self centered
Support Mains:
- Tend to be a bit more open to suggestions of build paths
- Tend to be a bit more open to changes in play style (e.g. more passive for farming or more aggressive for kills)
- Tend to take being criticized better (e.g. Rengar: don't dive 2v5 Leona: Okay Vayne: BUT I'M VAYNE HYPER CARRY I CAN 1V5!)
- Tend to think more team oriented (e.g. bot tower's gone maybe i can go mid and get them fed. instead of the ADC "gimme all the kills")
Just to name a few :|
EDIT Corrected that to they >.<
