Surrender needs to be improved

(NOT ABOUT WHETHER PEOPLE SHOULD SURRENDER WHEN THEY'RE LOSING) Is Refusing to Surrender Considered Toxic Behavior?

People who'd like to surrender but never get a pass should be given the opportunity to leave the game. I can't count the number of times teammates just flat out refuse to surrender no matter what. These 2 people saying no are forcing the other 3 players to have a negative experience by not surrendering.

There's just no point in dragging a game for 50 minutes when everyone could've had a better game 30 minutes ago. Everyone always says that you should learn from the game, but getting aced every time the team leaves the fountain stops being educational the hundredth time around.

We don't need toxic players making us endure a 50 minute stomp and then immediately getting put into LPQ for feeding. WTF man.

Solution: Allow leaving if the team fails to surrender for the second/third time.

this is the dumbest thing ill read all day. EVERY game is winnabe dude. may be hard, but i am looking to improve as a player, and you can learn a lot from behind. And i get that the odds of winning are semi-low, but you still can learn a thing or two. Plus, below Gold, it is REALLY EASY to throw a game.

My Diamond 1 Cousin told me yesterday, there are 3 player types:

  1. Those who play for fun
  2. Those who play to climb
  3. Those who play to improve And he said the first 2 will be 95% Silver/Bronze

but the ff mentality is something to drop if you ever want to climb or improve.

NOW for some BETTER SOLUTIONS! In the settings tab, have a "Matchmaking" tab. In this tab have a scale 1 to 5. players can set this to how likely they are to surrender, from NEVER to ALWAYS IF LOSING. or an i dont care option to get faster queues. I'd wait an extra 3 minutes to get a #NeverFF team.

What are your thoughts on this solution instead? So that way ur not stuck with #NeverFF players, and i never get stuck with you! lol

Even if the game is unlikely you'll win, doesn't mean it's not fun.

when a game goes for 50 minutes it's definitely not a game that should be surrendered.

What's stopping toxic people from surrender voting 3 times and then leaving a game that your team is winning?

People have disagreement what kind of games are winnable, is 20% win chance good enough for you to continue, what about 10%?

Challenger players actually have a higher surrender rate because they all have decent knowledge about what kind of games still have a chance, but for lower tiers like us we disagrees vastly.

A game is generally not winnable with 2 inhibitors down and a gold deficit, but other than that it differs depends on champions, division etc.

Some players have different reasons not to surrender than win chance.

In normal games, some people just want to play a comeback whether it's possible or not, In ranked games, some people just want to keep trying until it's completely impossible.

Voting is the solution when people have different criteria and feeling about playing a losing game.

In addition, if a player is allowed to leave after a failed surrender vote, it effectively enables a single player to make a surrender or afk, and the rest is trapped in a game for additional 3 minutes in addition to losing a potentially winnable game. It would not be very healthy for a competitive gaming environment.

Every game is winnable. I'm the guy who never surrenders no matter how bad we are losing.

So what you're bascially saying is:

''Man, my teams getting stommped, they can't carry me, therefore we should allow the Leaving / AFK offense to be allowed, just because we're losing a game'' ....

Play it through and see what happens.

I will come to your defense however and say yeah, it is a little frustrating when it's a likely loss and ppl just voting no bcs they don't believe in FF votes, but what you going to do, idk what elo u are, but ppl throw all the time, you never know
