West coast Ave. 20 Ping East coast Ave. 120 Ping Example If A West coast and a East coast player with the same champ and same skill lvl Fight the West coast player would win everytime just because of the Ping, You NEED low ping to get the most out of a mage or assassin. Tanks don't rely on ping as much as fighters, mages, and assassins, what does that mean? How to even out the playing field for the N/A servers. Tank Meta. Why spend all that money moving the N/A Server to a central Location to Balance out the N/A servers Ping to have a fair playing field? When you have a class that doesn't rely on Ping as much THE TANK META WAS BORN!!! A lot easier to just buff a class that ping doesn't matter then move a server central location and force all the pro players to leave the west coast. Riot is a smart one.
