I've Just Realized the Lore Retcon is so Big it Wiill Even Change the In-game Currency

Influence Points

Yes, the future retcon will drastically change everything including the IP. How's that? Well, Influence Points are won by the summoner and champion by competing in the League. If you win a match, you get more influence than your rival, but why? If you joined the Institute of War it was to compete for influence (within the Instute), with influence you'll get what you want (but this champions will keep fighting forever so we can keep playing the game... don't tell them though, it's a secret).

In the future Lore they'll need to rename this for (suggestion) Prestige. It just takes renaming something, not much else. The champions wouldn't do a lot with influence outside the Institute, and why would they get money if they win fights? Is not that if you kill another champion they drop gold coins or rings like in Sonic, you know.

Not trying to lit a fire, I'd do that posting other things. Prestige idea obviously coming from Paradox's games.

I doubt they will rename anything, but I'm glad you pointed this out. It's a shame I never realized the actual meaning behind IP until just now...

Even with redoing all the lore, individuals can still compete for influence with different nations, organizations, and individuals. No need to rename it.
