I hear a lot of people complaining about how their teammates don't ward the map (I'll be honest, I am a big complainer of such) so I thought I would create a post where people could show off how well they ward and get some appreciation for it.

As a good margin of players know, warding and vision are quintessential in controlling the map and winning games. It shows in the LCS and other professional matches if you ever take the time to watch them. However in the lower ranks and even in the higher ranks (so I'm told, I'm only Silver 5 ^.^) you will rarely see any vision across the map in solo queue. Those who do ward are usually supports and occasionally the junglers. It's well overdue that those players who take their time and resources and give us sight are commemorated for their efforts.

# of wards is pretty irrelevant. What we need is for riot to release some of their behind the scenes stat-tracking/"hotspot" stuff into an API so that we can take actual ward locations, enemy sightings, etc and qualitatively determine how well you ward instead of trying to do it quantitatively.

I mean you COULD technically make such a program now that could analyze spec-mode lolreplays, but the amount of work to make it would be absurd since it would have to detect minimap ward placements and champion icons rather than just crunching numbers.

also because that site only tracks # of wards, it doesn't know what lane you are playing - it counts my AP Ezreal games as marksman games for example.
