Dear Riot,

I agree fully with Videogamedunkey's point of view. Part of the game for me is talking trash. I'm a human being and as such I enjoy the fun it brings along. There's a reason you came up with the mute button. If anyone is being too obnoxious from a persons view it is SO EASY to mute them. Banning someone for being toxic like this is Bullshit. Bring dunkey back or ban me to I REALLY DON't GIVE A FUCK, but just realize the audience your trying to target to play your game is not the audience that is actually playing.

Honestly i have no idea why riot think toxicity is such a huge problem, there is literally a mute button that stops it.

It's your enjoyment vs 4/9 other peoples enjoyment. Yes, there is a mute button for a reason, but that reason is not so people can say w/e they want. Its so they can stop w/e is going on while a case for punishment is built since it was historically very slow(although its much quicker now).

By your logic, the feeder that ruined the game for his teem should be banned,

Dunkey's behavior was a result of that players toxic feeding.

But riot doesn't permaban feeders

Based on his description of what happen, yes it sounds like that malphite should have been banned as well. But that has no bearing on whether or not dunkey should have been banned for what he said. Intentional feeding is a lot harder to detect than chat infractions and much less common. Also there is an update to intentional feeder detection on PBE now.

The ban dunkey shows in the video is a temp ban, so he wasn't perma banned either(at least based on the video).

Theres nothing wrong with getting mad at those people. Its what you do while you are mad at them that people care about. No one is going to tell you to be friends with trolls. Raging at trolls does nothing. Everyone already has to deal with the troll. When you rage at them all you are doing is trying to make yourself feel better, but at the expense of your team. Who now has to deal with a troll and you.

By raging at trolls you are not only making things worse for other people, but you are also feeding the troll giving him exactly what he wants. If you feed a stray cat, it comes back.

Except that its not a direct comparison.

No one stole 30 dollars. They are diminishing leisure time which has no direct monetary value. Which is what dunkey did too. So you are here saying dunkey shouldn't be banned for something that had the same effect as what malphite did.

Malphite not being banned is the issue here, not that dunkey was. And as I mentioned before, we already know updates to intentional feeder detection is coming.

You can't really directly compare time to money like that. No one is losing 30 dollars, they were never going to make it that hour regardless of what happened in the game. What they lost is potential entertainment value, which raging takes away from people in the exact same way as trolling.

Don't get me wrong. Trolls enrage me every bit as much as you and dunkey.

My concern is the useless reaction people have to it that AT BEST accomplishes nothing and could potentially make things worse for the rest of your team and/or feeds the troll exactly what he wants leading to him continuing to do it.

While that's certainly true, there's nothing wrong with being mad. Players aren't punished for being mad.

Except the game is playable with someone being an abusive jerk, I've played games and won games where someone was yelling at me.

I have not won a game where someone feeds 9 deaths right off the bat because I refused to dodge because they wanted to play support.

It may be more playable in that you can continue playing, but this is a game and those toxic players make it so people don't want to play.

Trolling and toxicity have the same end result, a game in your match history you wish you hadn't played.

Well you are certainly entitled to that. Both affect me essentially the same.

I don't really care much about the individual incidents. It doesn't have anything to do with being offended. Its just that don't want to spend my entertainment time around downers and assholes. I really only care how often they happen. Because if that frequency goes up, I will absolutely play less.

That's why they've been working on the Intentional Feeding Detection that should be going live next patch. It was their second priority, because they don't care. Obviously.

So they are finally making this happen? After so many years that League has been out and this has been a Massive issue? ok, so they are making a new Detection system, Doesnt mean they care, Many Youtubers (Free Promotion) have been leaving because of this issue. They are only doing it to reduce the blood that has been flowing out of this massive cut, and i already KNOW that this system is going to be Flawed and Abused.

But hey, Go ahead and be a Riot Sheep. I love Riot games as a Company, however Lyte Is one of the weakest Branches in league. And it seems he only ACTS when things are looking Grim for him. Riot is probably on his ass right now from 5 Youtubers (as stated before, Free Promotion) have left, all because they sat back and thought This flawed system could go on forever. You know Dunkey doesn't give two shits if you play the game or not, right? I have my own problems with Riot, they are not perfect in any way and their report system is one of these things. Now, I love Dunkey, I have watched his vids for years now, but I don't agree with his reasoning. He is not except punishment just because he is a famous League Youtuber. Even pros have got bans and suspensions for being toxic. Riot is just trying to keep their game clean and enjoyable. I for one don't play games to hear some random stranger tell me that he will find me and kill my family and rape my pet hamster.

I completely agree with Riot's decision about banning Dunkey... It is EXTREMELY justified as he has flamed and been toxic to people for years. However, he was only doing it for a laugh and wanted to have fun. Thus, i agree with Riot's decision but I MISS THE DUNKEY! item 3070 ( He made really entertaining videos

he was right that riot has created more of a "pussy ass baby preschool time" than a competitive game.

Support zed trolls, feeds and deliberately ruins game? nothing wrong Mid or ADC bard goes 0-5, ruins promotion series? nothing wrong Top player goes afk for minutes 3-12? nothing wrong Offer tried and true, generally accepted advice.... 2 week suspension

There is a mute option, children get on the game and then report people after opting to view continued chat. There is a language filter, children report people for language despite opting to view that harsh language. There is an option to disable chat, again the same children report people after opting to view it all.

This is the only community where "toxic" and "salt" is a thing. 1/3rd of games have deliberate trolls in them, and after ruining the game, the trolls report the legit players. Who gets banned? Not the troll.

I've never seen a game that punishes legit competitors instead of those deliberately ruining the game. Its so sad that the company actually supports banning people because other teammates complained over a loss, just to sell more RP for profit. Not to mention their support team/account managers are unsupportive, borderline illiterate and do not even respond to support tickets half the time.

If you can't handle the words from random players over the internet, maybe you should look inside yourself, decipher why it is you're so weak, and fix it instead of reporting every player in the game.

only game in the world where offering advice gets you banned, not only gets you banned it gets you a much harsher punishment than going completely afk (hidden advice for everyone, instead of talking in chat to help your team, just go AFK, it has a much smaller penalty). Good logic riot, continue catering to the lesser intellectuals and see how soon your game becomes just another call of duty.

I have 2 accounts, and I've found 19/20 issues are all on my casual account, and almost none on my higher elo account. Stop catering to stupid people who get offended by everything, thats not how life works.
