Here's why you shouldn't report everyone everytime you lose

How many players, yourself or teammates, all chat report x and y and z every time they lose? It's a ton of people who do this and you can't lose a game without someone on your team saying this. Well reading the Tribunal FAQ I ran across this gem.

How many reports put you in the Tribunal?

Typically a large number of reports are required before a player appears in the Tribunal, so if you had a bad game and are reported, don’t worry! You will most likely not end up in the Tribunal. The Tribunal does take into account the credibility of the people who file reports. If you are a positive player in League of Legends and only report when the offenses deserve it, your reports will actually be worth a lot more in the Tribunal than someone who abuses the reporting system and falsely reports lots of players. Generally, players who follow the Summoner’s Code and respect their fellow gamers should never be concerned about seeing the Tribunal.

So just for everyone to understand, if you constantly report people Riot will pretty much decide your opinion matters very little to not at all and the constant stream of people you report will not be sent to the Tribunal. So if you run across a player who actually is abusing you or breaking other rules that report won't ever see the time of day because you already ruined your credibility. Just something to think about next time you want to report a player for having a bad game.

everyone likes to report someone after they lose. I dont know why but i guess it helps them release their anger or whatever the cause may be. i only report when someone was intensely rude towards me or another player or someones actions caused the loss negatively such as intentional feeding. but people take it over the edge and just wanna report someone because they didnt win

You do realize the tribunal has been down for months right? So that process you just read, quite likely isn't even in play right now since it's all running on automated bans and chat restrictions right now and is just down to how many reports a person gets, and doesn't matter who reports them. Also the way you described it is completely wrong, you are making it sound like if you make a lot of reports then you are taken less seriously, when that is not true. It says right there that if you make a lot of FALSE reports that you get taken less seriously, but nor does that mean your report doesn't matter. Even if you make a lot of false reports if you report someone who the rest of the team reports and others have reported, your report will still matter because that person has gotten a lot of reports against them. Also your last line "Just something to think about next time you want to report a player for having a bad game." is again not right because now what you are asking is for players to know every leagers match history ever and know when someone is having a bad game and when someone is being a troll/toxic something that they can not do unless they have played with said person before a lot. But again this is all pointless because the tribunal had been down for months and so no cases are being sent to the tribunal, they are being dealt with by automated systems.
