Game is no longer fun
So my older brother got me into this game (Piticus) last season and well....now I just don't understand how the community and game has changed so much since i started and was away (explaining my lvl 20 heh...) . The community has grown so much more toxic in the lower levels, I am playing against people that have mains that are in diamond more often, playing with people that are talking trash to me because I have Mecha Khazix (piticus got me it along as making me really wanna play this game at the time due to k6) and telling me to refund it because "you're trash f***ng noob" .
Constant harassment from allies and enemies a like and reporting people gets me nowhere, while i have seen that notification on them being punished I know from personal experience last year it does nothing. This game just isn't fun for new players, the grind (which was made easier) is tedious, the rune system is disappointing as well. Due to having an older brother who played this game I know a lot about runes and what I should be working on and lower level runes are both a trap and a waste for IP as the only good ones become available at lvl 20 .(the tier 3's)
The price of champions, runes, rune pages in IP is way too high for the amount of IP you earn from playing the game, I own 13 champions, most of the 450, but nasus, tryndamere and taric are all 1350, and k6 is 6300 (again though him i got with ip through a gift). In total that's _ 14,400 IP_ just for champions, and I have 25 runes that are lvl 3, three ad quints , 9 armour seals, 9 ad marks and 5 scaling mr glyphs, coming out to a total of, 4,379 IP. Too complete my rune pages (i do plan on playing champions that require cdr runes and ap runes in the future) I will need a minimum of two more complete rune pages. While my reds are fine for my adc page, my quints will have to change and so will my yellows and blues, and for an ap page everything except yellows will change. That will be a total of _19,917 IP _just for ONE runepage that have runes on the lower side and 13 champions.
Too complete the two other rune pages I will need, 6300 IP for the rune page itself, then the runes which will come to around, 22,134 IP for those two rune pages. in total when i complete three rune pages at this stage I will have spent, 42,051 IP mostly on runes. (hypothetical if I do continue playing LoL) Next I will be buying two specific champions Lee Sin and Sona, Lee because i have his pool party skin unlocked for free (combined skins for champions that were low priced) and Sona because i have her dj sona skin from hextech as well. so there i will need 7750 IP.
I average around 60 IP a game so in order to get enough IP to finish everything I will need to play 603 games of LoL from the posting of this. With me being able to play right now on average possibly 5 games a day (sometimes more) that means I would have to play 5 games a day for 120 days. which is 4 months of straight league, with how the community is there is no reason to. the constant abuse from allies and enemies that are smurfing is insane and creates an environment where new players (even returning ones that are not that great) will want to quit and will have want struggle in Riots eyes of "just mute your allies and you won't get punished because you didn't respond with anything toxic".
TL;DR: Games community is terrible for new players, Riots policy on "toxicity" creates an unhealthy environment for those who are new to the game, not enough IP gained per game to match the prices of everything.
