Why Did I Bother Ranking Up?

I just played the most frustrating game in the history of my time playing LoL. My question is, what is the point of ranking out of bronze if I still get queued with them every game? I'm really not trying to be a jerk here but I think it's fair to say everyone wants to play with people at or around their skill level to a varying degree. I like to play against people who are a bit better because it's a great learning opportunity, but when my support doesn't have a sightstone or sweeping lens after asking him countless times, who wouldn't get frustrated? Why should I be forced to ADC with a support who doesn't understand the role? I was in team builder so understand that this person designated this roll before even queuing (and oddly enough owned DJ sona with no clue how to play support let alone the champ.) I really feel matchmaking needs a change because the fact I'm playing with people this clueless is just so frustrating it makes me quit for periods of time. A person can only take so much frustration before giving up. I know people are going to say "just play ranked if you want to try hard" but that's really not the point. I don't want to try hard, I want a fun and fair match up and just because I decide to play normals doesn't mean I should have to play with people who may as well be level 15. I don't want to play a more toxic version of this game (ranked). The only reason I played ranked in the first place was to avoid queueing with people like this in normals.

I know this thread seems like a large rant and frankly it's a rant on the effectiveness of the current matchmaking system and my frustrations with it's terrible execution, not a player.

I had a game in normal Draft and was placed against two plats, one diamond, one gold and my team consisted of two bronze 5s and 2 unranked with no prior season experience. Is this where my skill level is at? Being able to carry deadweight against skilled players? Nope. Matchmaking is heavily flawed.

Until Ranked Team Builder is released, your rank has nothing to do with your Team Builder games. If you want better-performing teammates in normals, play enough normals to get your normal MMR up to where you think your skill is.

Another point proven: just played a game of ranked 5's, my team consisted of myself (gold 5), a mid silver, and 3 bronzes. Just got matched against a duo plat 2 bot lane. didn't check the ranks of the other 3 on the team but this just proves league has absolutely no clue on how to make a fair match. So done playing anything but ARAM.

Your Team Builder MMR is around High Bronze / Low Silver. Each queue has its own MMR. The trick is to actually try to have really high normals MMR Then the ranked MMR comes easier. Since there is no real stress involved in raising your normals MMR since losses don't hurt as much in comparison - just spam normals until you are as good as you want to be, then get your ranked queue to the same MMR.

I got stuck in P1 for a bit, so I spammed normals until I was consistently getting paired with D4s and D3s, now the P1 to D5 grind feels easy ( 4 games to go ).

Another great game, this time I had a level 24 on my team. I was queued in ARAM, which is my most played queued with over 1500 games, and over 800 wins. Matchmaking is dumb please fix this crap lol.
