Choosing My Position in Ranked

My favorite roles are top and mid in that order. But almost always I get a bottom lane that doesn't know what they are doing. Whenever I support, my mid feeds and they snowball their bot lane even though we were winning earlier. So I either need advice on how to snowball my bot lane before they bleed too much, or advice on what position/champion I should play which can help negate these things from happening.
