Does Ravenous Hydra passive AoE proc Lee Sin's life steal from w?

I've been doing some math on item builds for a Lee Sin in mid or top lane, and I wanted to know if Lee Sin could use the Tiamat and Ravenous hydra AoE passive for extra life steal. Imagine a mid Lee sin, taking a lot of poke from ranged champs. If you could use Tiamat to proc your w, (Iron Will specifically) it would take away the necessity to upgrade Tiamat to Hydra in your early build. It's my understanding that Hydra's AoE passive procs the life steal from Hydra only, but I don't know how Lee's w affects items.

Hydra has a passive that says "Life steal applies to damage dealt by this item." This means that when you have Hydra, you will life steal off of the damage dealt by it's unique passive and active. This life steal is based on the TOTAL amount of life steal you have throughout all of your items, runes, masteries, and abilities, not just Hydra's life steal.

However, this only applies if you have Hydra. If you only have Tiamat, any damage dealt by the passive or active will not proc life steal.

Hydra doesn't only proc lifesteal from hydra. lol what? Hydra applies all healing effects. if you buy a Bloodthrister, blade of the ruined kin, AND a hydra you will get lifesteal from all 3 items on hydra procs, let alone lee sins W.
