Honestly, why do we have to pay for rune pages?
I think this is kind of silly? I know we can pay with IP and RP, but still. Why aren't they free?

If the game was pay to play, it would most likely be free. Runes, champions, champion skins, wards, summoner icons, name changes, and region changes are not free so I don't see why rune pages should be free as well.
People also need to be able to work for things they get, a.k.a incentive to keep on playing / some place to dump their IP (possibly RP as well) instead of watching it rise to obscene amounts.
I am not against there being free rune pages, but Riot games is a company and nearly every if not all companies has to act like a business. If other gaming companies such as Blizzard and Nexon don't act like a business; they will not be up long. Some would say that they already get enough profit, but that does not mean that they should stop revenue from coming in, that is just ruining a good thing and I doubt EVERYONE at Riot is making big bucks, they are people who need to live too.
