If Riot were to add skin trading for friends, how much would you be willing to pay, at a maximum?
(for example, if I were trading a 975RP skin for a 750RP skin, 25% would be (975+750)/4 = 431 RP)

That cost would have to be split between the two people.
Or on the other hand, you could make it so the difference of the skins' prices (charged to the one with the lesser priced skin, ex 750-975 would have a 225 "fee" on it, refunded to the person who bought the 975 to begin with) + a flat RP fee applied to both members in every trade.
Unless the above is what you meant.
As far as a flat fee, a minimal amount would be ideal considering you're essentially trading off a skin that's already been purchased and most wouldn't be interested in paying say 200RP to get a skin that's 750rp while having to trade off another 750RP skin.

So, if I'm trading a 750 skin to receive a 975 skin, I'd have to pay 1181 (750 + 431)? Why wouldn't I just buy the 975 for myself, then? Even splitting the fee between both players, that's 965 - not much of a benefit to me.
Adding extra costs for no tangible benefit seems like a poor implementation to me, and I don't see any real gain in a system like that for Riot, either.
