Why is the LeaverBuster such trash?

The "improved" leaver buster is supposed to be more strict and punish players who leave more games. I have left one game in the past 3 months. That was yesterday. At PAX East in the freeplay pit. I left one game. And now I'm in super low priority queue for 5 games. How is this fair at all? What makes them think that this is a good idea? Isn't it meant to punish those who frequently leave?

In my last game, I had an adc that went afk. I looked at her match history... it was the second time in the last 10 games, and she had more down the list :(

Nope, it's meant to punish everyone that leaves moderately and frequent leavers extremely.

It also doesn't particularly stop me from AFKing. Wait 20 minutes before a game to not sit through being harassed for 30? Okay, deal.
