Finally made it to level 30

Wow that was hard. I first heard about League from a friend who asked, "Hey you know a lot about video games my son plays this game called Lol and is going to a tournament to compete what do you think about it?"

Well I looked up league on the internet. I saw a very basic looking moba with out of date character models and super dated graphics in the environment and thought this looks kind of lame.

Then I went to youtube and saw the League of Legends World Series video and saw the tens of thousands of fans, high production values, and learned the story of how League went from being a small competition in Sweden of 200 people to four years later filling a huge stadium in Korea.

I decided to try it and found I was having fun beating bot AI's.

Then on youtube I kept seeing this Bjergsen fellow. He was young, caucasian, skinny, geeky and I thought what can he do that I can't?

So I watched his video's and was amazed at how effortless he made things look and not playing AI but playing other players in ranked matches. And as soon as I learned of Bjergsen I saw Fakers name pop up a hundred times and so watched Faker play Leblanc.

Suddenly I was beginning to see some of the complexity and depth this game had to offer.

Best thing about league for me was combat was like a PVP Morpg but you didn't have to grind for 10,000 hours just to have the best stuff. It was more of a counterstrike style buying system and that really intrigued me. I started to go to the internet to learn how best to kit out my champion.

And I began playing Normal Matches over AI Bots.

Then I grinded my way up over a month and a half to lvl 30 and played my Provisionals.

OMG the Provisionals were so hard. I had afk quitters in nearly ever match. I fought against teams of players who were banded together and working with headset comms to foul my day. I battled Silver and Gold elo players everywhere I went.

I went 3-7 and it was hard. I thought geeze if Bronze 5 is going to be this hard I don't know if I can play Ranked.

Then I was surprised to find I was awarded Bronze 2 and then I went into my Bronze matches and won three in a row and won Mid Lane in every match just like I used to way back when I was in my low lvl 20's in Normals.

I ran across two scripters in about 300 Normal matches and one in a provisional. One was a brand and one was a ryze. I had a tremendous amount of fun and found a real challenge in League. This game is so good I stopped playing GTA V cold for it.
