Is RIOT making a league of legends app?
I could have sworn I read this somewhere. can someone help me find where they spoke about it or confirm it for me?

yes they are http://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/site/2016-season-update/social.html how ever it is not for playing the game just for social purposed
I use LoL connect, but it's such a shitty app that I wish I had another option.
