Should I get Elder Scrolls online?
I like to think I am an avid elder scrolls fan and I was wondering with the recent changes and it becoming one time pay, is it worth it? Also if you could post sounds good race/role combos
Thanks!

Do NOT get Elder Scrolls Online if you want to play an Elder Scrolls game. It LOOKS like an Elder Scrolls game but it really doesn't play like one - skill trees are all over the place, you're locked into a class and faction from the very start, the majority of your damage comes from abilities/spells rather than whacking things with a sword, lockpicking is an annoying timed minigame, horses cost a small fortune to purchase (10,000 gold), sneaking costs stamina and you can only loot a small number of enemies (and not steal everything that isn't nailed down).
If you want an MMO, then Elder Scrolls Online has improved vastly since the game was released. You still need to pay extra to choose a faction or play as an Imperial though.
If you like a vanilla Elder Scrolls (which is generally pretty darn bad) and playing with bots then this game is the one for you.
how come you get to talk about other game here, but me in the other hand i talk about any other games that people can recommend to me and riot removes my post?
If ur looking for a rpg style online game, u might like Guild War2, u get ur own personal storyline n stuff. I tried, didn't like it, i expected more story element .
It's decent. I play it for the lore but the gameplay isn't like previous TES games.
if you could post sounds good race/role
Dunmer dragon knight.
Get some good Skyrim mods instead.
I got it, regret it.
The opening is dumb some of the early quests were fun then it started turning into fetch quest city, I've heard its a bunch like guild wars 2(but worse) from several people I never got into GW2 much though so cant confirm that.
Then again this is coming from someone who is very picky about games initial impressions, sadly most mmorpgs don't feel great early and get better as they go;/
Man I wish an mmorpg I could get behind would come out, last good one for me was Archage when it was in alpha, they just botched it so bad after release and just seemed to turn it into a cash grab with all the things you could buy to set yourself ahead, turned into needing to spend like 50 bucks a week just to keep up with others which is insane;o lol.
The community is great once you get past the first couple of major zones, so around level 30ish. It's first an MMO, Elder Scrolls second. It's a bit graphics intensive despite the art style, so I probably wouldn't recommend getting serious in the PvP zone unless you have some sort of graphics card. Nothing expensive like a 980, something cheap is all you need unless you really want to crank up the settings.
I heard FF14 is the best.
I appreciate all the replies, after hearing mixed reviews whether good or bad, I decided to ultimately go with my gut and buy the game! Hopefully in the near future I can be the one to either discredit the game or tell others just how amazing it really is. Thanks for the help!
its terrible have you read any reviews at all they will turn it into a f2p model with in a year trust me
