End of Season IV, favorite moments

It has been a long, and amazing season.

Filled with ups and downs, buffs and nerfs, crazy comebacks and fiery win streaks. It has been by far one of the best seasons yet.

To all the players who played ranked congrats on all your victory's, and hopefully you reached any and every goal you set for yourself.

To those players in the LCS this has been one of the best seasons I've ever followed and watched so many games i can't choose a favorite.

And finally congratulations to Riot for putting on an impressive season, with an all out spectacular Worlds event in Korea. From the Rioters who scroll the forums passing down words of wisdom and advice to players with every day questions, to the Rioters deep in their caves of knowledge developing and tinkering trying to create something even more exciting and thrilling for next season: Thank you.

League of Legends is a game that ties everyone together, from every country, from every background of life. It's been an amazing season and I can't wait to see what Season V will bring!

Feel free to share what you're favorite part(s) of this season were. Be it a new champion, play stle, LCS highlight, even a weird bug that made games crazy and hilarious.

Some of my favorite parts were Riot introducing U.R.F. mode and having the Riot Shoutcasters join in on a live game between LCS teams. As well as Riots Shoutcasters Vs. Doom Bots of Doom. Have to also highlight how excited I was seeing Fiddlesticks in worlds, made my day.

When we see how the season 4 ended with these "finals"... I just can't say that this season was amazing at all.

The finals just showed how its ridiculously easy to take the advantage because of ONE, and only ONE, mistake.

And I think this is what made this game even worse since Season 4 -> The impossibility to comeback because of "da" throw.

This has indeed been an amazing season overall, and I am stoked to see what next year will bring.

Favorite moments (in no particular order):

  1. Preseason Taric (and it was certainly a moment... he lasted, what, a week?)
  2. Braum's release and mini-event
  3. Shoutcasters vs. Doom Bots (probably my favorite live stream moment since I've been watching LCS)
  4. The race for 1st place in NALCS in the second half of Summer Split
  5. LMQ's appearance in NALCS, being the catalyst to improve our region overall in my opinion

Some of the worst moments this season that I can recall that still helped define this season:

  1. Hai's collapsed lung
  2. LMQ's team ownership/financial drama
  3. Xpecial's dismissal from TSM and pickup by Curse

There are a lot of things I could go on and on about with both positive and negative thoughts as well (looking at you, Yasuo). Ultimately, I think League of Legends has grown considerably for both us low-tier players and for the professional scene. Picks have rotated in and out of popularity, and some heavily needed reworks have been announced (and a couple completed). The announced Summoner's Rift Update is amazing, and I cannot wait to see what Season 5 will be like on the new Rift.
