Completed Chat Restriction (25 games)

I recently received my first punishment from Riot for verbal abuse and toxicity. Im not arguiing it, they were right. I got very hostile when teammates would call me out on things and responded with very very poor language, and name calling. I just finished my final chat restricted game. And what ive learned through this experience is that.

Chat restrictions work...

I initally went into these games with a i dont give a f$%^ attitude. Every account of me being toxic was in response to someone being toxic to me first so i figured who cares. 25 games not a big deal. But then i realized how hard it was to work with my team. Couldnt help plan plays, organize lanes. Or even say GJ! to the other team, or even my own. It sucked. I would legitimatly feel bad when my teammate would make a great play or pass me a buff and i couldn't even type out ty. Or when my team was mad at me for something i couldn't explain my though process on the situation.

End of story, My chat restrictions made me actually value my team and communication more. I recognize my record will never be "clean" because of this punishment but i actually took something away from it and it has shaped me to be a better summoner.

My wisdom (if any) i can pass on is: Dont wait until you get punished to evaluate and appreciate your team, everyone has good games and bad games, and the simple act of saying hey GJ, GG, or hey you should see things from my perspective ius actually a valuable resource. A resource you dont want the experience of missing out on.

Wish you all the best on the Rift!

Yeah, my first chat restriction was like that. I wanted to talk so badly, so I started trying to be less toxic. That effect didn't carry over to the second one and beyond. If they question me, I mute them. If they piss me off, I mute them. If we're going to win, I don't need to talk to them, and if we're going to lose talking to them won't solve the issues anyway.
