The mindset of silver

So now I have a great example of silver mindset.

Just played a game where the team did great early. We got to the point though where they could beat us in a team fight. I was eve. We had a heimer, leona, cait, and viktor. Now the silver i'm talking about is the leona. Through the entire game she played aggressive. No ward coverage. If she saw somebody in river she would engage (There possibly couldn't be teammates close to them...that would be absurd) Now the next part is even better. So we all agreed we couldn't win a team fight. They had just beaten us. Anyways. I suggested a 1/3/1 split push. Heimer had been pulling 4-5 top all game and doing well. So I said heimer top. Me bot and the rest of team mid. To not engage, just kite and harrass (Easily done with cait and viktor)

If they roam together top bot and mid get something and vice versa

It was working... until leona saw one in mid caught out (note all 5 of them were in mid and heimer ended up taking top) but she hard engaged into them. Being 3v5. My team apparently decided to join her (Our teammate just did something dumb... im sure we can win a 3v5...)

Well so they died. me and heimer had to B to defend. We lost 1 tower and defended the 2nd. With heimer dying (But atleast tower was safe)

Then the leona claimed the idea didn't work. And I honestly after 5 minutes of explaining why it didnt work. Refused to do it again... So cait suggested all mid to teamfight (After we decided that we couldn't win a teamfight) so we all just grouped mid anyways (Didn't feel like trolling) and she immediately heads to bot lane to slow farm...

I keep trying to explain to the team how the 1/3/1 split pushing works. They refused. SO now we started losing drags (I kept very good drag control early) Leona gave up warding all together and she kept saying "So we're just going to stand around and do nothing" as if I didnt suggest a plan.

How do people not get salty from these games? I'm going to have to go back to playing selfishly in jungle or top and /muteall the game. I already mute enemy team but now I feel like I'll have to do it to my team

I haven't had anything useful said in chat in the past 2 months, at least. It's just a tool that people use to rage with.

Yeah. I keep team chat open because of usefulness. But it seems like people in solo que don't enjoy the thought of working as a team. Which in the end makes me salty. So keeping every bit of chat off might improve my play XD
