For the past few games I've been testing out AP RENGAR because I saw a high elo players do that and own. I am positive in game and don't insult people. HOWEVER PEOPLE ARE REPORTING ME cuz im playing ap rengar. A few games ago, 4 guys were pre-made and they all reported me for playing ap rengar, despite the fact that we won and I did second most damage.
So why am I chat restricted for just playing the game? PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS.

546f7047756e1 votesLOL NO. I submitted a request and they tell me there are no chat logs available and some automated stuff...... lol. (Usually there would be one and they do post them. you see lyte doing it all the time).
Jubbinaut1 votesActually, Lyte has stated more than once that the "LyteSmites" were only ever intended to be in conjunction with the 2-week ban waves. In fact, it's not required of Support to give them in response to tickets for anything other than bans, either.
Since you were hit with a chat restriction, rather than a ban, your case doesn't exactly qualify.

Jubbinaut1 votesWho said there's anything to hide? It's simply a matter of the policy not relating to chat restrictions. I believe the decision was made because they're considered the "minor" punishment.

I never got any punishments for like a yearwhen I was playing ranked, since I started to do normal, I behave the same as i do in ranked, however others are a lot more toxic and are just being a crybaby and report about everything. Sry to say but league community contains too many crybabies.
Since this isn't my main account, My normal elo is gold - plat lvl and every game I get matched with premade 3-4s which gold to plat lvl players. They troll, I say I muted them, they all report. I get chat restricted. Clearly system needs work. Im only a single report which might not go anywhere, so they get away with their behaviour. I get a 4 man report, every report will prob go to riot. LOL.

Eleshakai1 votesYou don't get chat restricted for what you play. You get chat restricted for what you say. The system scans chatlogs before punishing you, so if you weren't at the very least abrasive... you wouldn't have gotten punished.

YOU DO NOT GET CHAT RESTRICTED FOR PLAYING CHAMPS. PERIOD END OF STORY.
If you were reported for verbal abuse it would scan you chat logs for restricted words gay,you suck, noob, baddie (yes those are no no according to riot) and would ban you according to that....

So after coming back from a 2 week game ban I must say the system is utterly broken. Yes I may get upset with feeders and trolls and swear a bit, but I ALWAYS give feedback and advice on how they can improve. Yet I have been sure not to use any foul language or abuse since coming back. What I have noticed is that I am getting grouped with a lot of 4 man premades. When 1 or 2 of those decide to troll, be toxic, swear and abuse people and I say to them they are getting reported and mute them, I get at least a 4 man report. Towards the end of the game I unmute everyone again to find that I am usually being blasted hard in all chat. What happens? I get at least 4 reports from the premade.
After being back from my 2 week ban I have been very cautious of what I say in chat. I have not been swearing, being toxic or using any form of abuse. After finally opening back up my chat privileges what happens? Back on a 35 game chat restriction. Something is very broken with the new system. For a game I love and have put much time and money into I am ready to throw in the towel. The stress and frustration over being punished because a group of others want to be toxic is too much.
I will now mute everyone, use pings and never again provide positive criticism and feedback. The sad part is these people will continue to be toxic or be horrible players. Perhaps they don't understand the finer mechanics of the game or champions. I have only tried to help and give advice. Now they will be left to their own devices while many games will suffer.
I was banned but still not record or proof. Logic please?
Trinityunicorn1 votespretty sure saying "you're getting reported" is considered a threat and can get you chat restricted if you do it. Or trying to get everyone to report so and so... I'm not entirely sure but I thought I saw where that was stated.

Jubbinaut1 votesThe problem is that using threats to get someone to adjust their behavior is toxic. And there are other ways to do so, anyway. Tell them that it bothers you, or ask them to stop, but don't threaten them.

Double the trouble for a single game. I'd recommend just muting and moving on.

They feed off of effecting others, so saying it effects you just gets em going even more. Sadly I will just keep my mouth shut and blind report. Won't help me any but might help someone else down the road to avoid those players.
Jubbinaut1 votesI have, yes. In my experience, they tend to ignore such requests. After that, I mute them and move on with the game.
However, it's also my experience that the number of actual trolls, who don't respond well to encouragement, is fairly small. Most players have the same general goal you do: to win. Being polite and respectful in your approach to those players can often defuse their aggression.
And the rest aren't worth listening to. Thus, the mute button.

Here I'm going to put this simply:
The League of Legends community has deemed the way you behave inappropriate. You have two choices for how to respond to this... you can whine about how undeserving it is and continue behaving poorly and eventually get escalating punishments leading towards a ban, or you can recognize that it you did in fact do something wrong and change your behaviour.
It's in your hands, but the rest of us.... we simply don't care. Sorry.
