So basically what you're saying is you're forcing your team to 4v5 all game when you're fed enough that with the help of a team you could easily win a 5v5 and just finish the game. With the help of a support and 3 other meatshields/damage buffers you can clean up the whole enemy team and then push to win with more than 1 teammate smacking the turret instead of you trying to duel champions while smacking a turret alone.
You can't give me no context on what anybody in the game but you is doing and expect me to agree with you. For all I know the enemy team is pushing as 5 and stacking dragons while you're off alone. You don't need to be the MVP of the game, it's a team game. The fact that you made the game seem all about you makes me hope you actually lost. You definitely didn't deserve that win.
The rule of thumb is "It's better to make a decision you think is bad as 5 than to make the right decision without your team" if you think splitpushing is the right decision and everybody else on your team thinks it's a bad decision it is automatically the wrong decision. If you don't have the team backing you up then they aren't going to be doing their part to help you succeed at your part. If they were okay with you splitpushing they would have been pressuring a lane with vision as 4 or playing defense together as 4 while the enemies tried to push. Instead like you said the 2-7 guy was getting caught out because the other 4 players on your team weren't in agreement of your choice and therefore didn't do what was necessary for you to splitpush.
I think back to the C9 game last Spring Split I believe it was. Meteos was playing Noctourne and they were 'base racing' essentially. It was 5 men of the enemy team (I forget who they were playing against that game) splitpushing vs Noc. C9 knew that Meteos was fed/built enough to splitpush and the 4 of them (though losing) were willing to back him up and play defensive. Meteos took the inner turret and then backed off into a bush so that the enemies thought he recalled. As soon as he went on the inhib turret botlane and tore it down C9 forced a fight and after that they chased hard to stop the recalls which allowed them to win the game. Meteos had a great kill participation that game, he was pretty fed iirc he took from the inner turret to the nexus alone. But it wasn't "I'm 16-5-10 I'm gonna splitpush stfu noob I'm plat" that won them the game, it was the 4 other members of C9 that were willing to trust Meteos' call and backed him up that won the game. If Meteos' teammates told him 'no' and he continued to push without the support from his team Meteos would have singlehandedly thrown the game. Maybe, just maybe, they might have pulled through and secured a win, but again it would have depended on the other 4 members of C9 to play their cards right even when they don't agree with the call. In fact in a solo queue game your teammates are more likely to be frustrated and make worse decisions when they feel like you're making the wrong choices for the team. You're not helping your teammates win the game, you're making it harder for them to win.
And you can call me low elo all you want but teamplay is a common mindset between support mains in all elos, it's not just a "bronze mentality" there is a whole role that dedicates itself to playing as a team and making decisions as a team over trying to win the game as a single person.
