Upcoming Poppy Update

I heard recently that there is going to be an update to one of my personal favorite Champions, Poppy. Now after reading the plans they had I have to admit, I'm a little scared of what will come. I read that there is a plan to give her a much needed Visual update, which I agree with 100%, however, I also found out that there is plans to change her kit, which cannot end well. Poppy is one of the oldest Champions that has not been updated yet, and there is good reason for that, it's because Poppy's kit is so strong and so solid that she doesn't need much more than a little make up on her splash art and in game character model, if they do actually change her, I pray it is still Poppy.

Ya, they've prettymuch confirmed the wall slam is the only 'healthy' part of her kit. So if that's what you like about her, you're going to be fine. If it's not, I'm sad to say you may be disappointed.

I hope the rework puts her in a place where you like her still, but she is definitely one of those champs who can't be healthy with their current kit. It's just not possible.

Its safe to say, it won't be the Poppy you're accustomed to. They've pretty much outright said the only thing they're keeping from her current kit is her wall-slam.

As a Poppy player myself... Must admit that I think she needs a rework. She may be one of the funnest champions on the game to me, but bloody 'ell do I feel bad ulting Soraka and 1v5'ing, killing 2 people and getting out barely hurt because #balance.

All I hope is that they keep AP Poppy viable, along with the Wall Slam and Q Nuke. But the ult... it's just too strong with no real way to counter it unless you have the entire map warded and you know where Poppy is 100% of the time.

I have the feeling that, no matter what direction they decide go with on Poppy, SOMEONE's going to be disappointed no matter what.

Unless they just do a really good job; I'm not the biggest Poppy player, but I'd be personally content if they manage to keep her a single target damage dealer with little to no ranged moves (Sitting back and taking potshots, or spreading your focus to multiple targets doesn't seem very Poppy-ish). But, like I said, not the biggest Poppy player, there are people who play Poppy religiously, and their opinion should be headed over mine in every circumstance.

Im also worried. Just hit 100 games this season with Poppy. Nara is correct on the wall slam, they also recently said they were going to keep her "in your face not going to back down" personality.

Paragon of Demacia is way too much passive strength that people simply don't appreciate. In order to be balanced with that ability, she'd probably need to have absurdly low base stats. And her passive is just broken OP. It's probably the most powerful passive ability in the game since it basically works out to 50% passive damage reduction for most of the game(since there aren't a lot of ways to deal LESS than 10% of a player's current health, especially if that player isn't at max hp).

But Heroic Charge is probably going to be what they 'keep' in theory anyways. Numbers probably will be played with a ton, but no... nothing but that really needs to stay. I could see Devastating Blow staying, although they might change it's mechanics to make it more 'fun' to use since right now it's just a glorified melee attack.

I get that you find her fun... but the reason you find PAragon and her passive fun is because they're broken. There's no GAMEPLAY in those abilities, they just make her invincible... and everyone loves to be invincible sometimes. So I get that you enjoy her kit, but the reason you enjoy it isn't that it's got some really cool interactions(except the charge/wallslam), it's because she can do that charge wallslam into a group of five people and take virtually no damage back because of her kit being so broken.
