not currently banned but just received 15 game ranked suspension + 44 chat restricted games, which you don't get chat logs for.
the most out of line i've been since my last ban is no more than "fuck you" "muted troll" idk maybe even just calling people toxic is enough to get chat restriction? idk man.
Is it really surprising? If you're insulting people, they're likely to report you. And insulting people is a punishable action - as I said, it's not the curse words themselves that are problematic, but the way you use them.
after 20 mins of this you're going to get upset and cuss a bit. what i dont understand is how do the people that instigate these situations not receive any sort of penalty while I was actually banned for 14 days... I know the teemo wasnt banned becasue i added him after i was unbanned to talk to him about it and he actually apologized.... at first then he went back to 100% troll and i just blocked him.
So because he did not receive a penalty at the same time you did, he never received one?
It's perfectly possible that he had just come off of a penalty - and was in the small grace period before being issued a new one. It's also perfectly possible that your report simply didn't trigger a case - but that a later report did, and forced a massive restriction or ban on him. It's important to remember that sometimes the system takes time to have an effect.
now yeah sure I can just mute everyone that talks trash to me but then look. now i'm 0-4. no chance of getting anywhere in my lane. no chance of getting any help because apparently i am scum of the earth and don't even deserve recognition as a human being from my teammates. and i'm supposed to just sit here and play it out like everythings A OKAY. it's not that easy. 13 mins in and i want to forfeit. 20 min mark comes i try to FF. Muting players who are toxic is a great option - it prevents you from being further affected by their garbage, and allows you to focus on the game itself. After that, I don't think anyone necessarily expects you to pretend like everything's okay, but rather to at least keep involved in the game. If it helps, try to remember that when you're ignoring them, you're ignoring them - completely discount what they might be doing or saying and focus on something else in the game. Even if it's a losing game, there's something you can work on - practice CSing, safe split-pushing, or even just wild flashy plays. That way, you get to decide what the game is worth to you, instead of them.
any company that cares about their players would not punish me in this situation. yet here i am. lose/lose situation all the way around anytime ur in a fully toxic team.
Riot's policy is that retaliation is never acceptable - it accomplishes nothing, and makes things worse for the team as a whole. This policy isn't about protecting trolls/initiators/whatever. It's to protect any neutral parties in the mess. Many people seem to forget that the arguments they get into with a teammate can affect everyone on the team - or on both teams, if someone tries to take things to /all chat. The experience of all those other players is also important to Riot, so when players decide to have a shouting match, Riot's response is to address everyone involved.
You may find it helpful to queue with a friend - someone who can remind you to ignore and dismiss toxic players who may be targeting you, or who can offer moral support when you're starting to feel the weight of it.
