I'd like to know why Taric is on the rework schedule.

He is balanced, promotes good teamwork, has a unique kit, I can understand a visual rework but what's wrong with his current kit??? It has counterplay, it's better than other champions (as far as originality , gameplay and balance goes) this is a serious question and I genuinely want to know why he "needs a rework" :/

His whole kit synergises well, i agree that he does need a VISUAL rework, but there is NOTHING wrong with his kit, he has a low play rate because he's just not the _Strongest _ choice, but he's still a really good champion, if riot rework him they'll change his e and q for sure, i'd say w and passive stay relatively the same and I'd say his r will be a slow (Maybe) but i don't want him reworked and it's annoying he's on there.

His kit is actually bad. His stun is short range and duration is very low to matter. His heal is only useful early game. He has to stack armor to be relevant, which means he is vulnearable to magic damage. Any other support outscales him. Without Ezreal he is basically useless.

Unique kit? Fun gameplay? Taric is outdated, both visually and in gameplay. He's from the era where unique kits were hard to technically do. He has a point and click stun, a point and click heal, and an aura. It's not interactive to the enemy or to the player. Make his kit more exciting more interactive and more visually engaging. All that is possible without sacrificing his core identity.

Taric is actually balances for real and fun to play , he does have weakness and strenght , he maybe dont AoE Stun, give à shield or be peeling focused but hé can do everything at once, do good damage mixed with his passive and iceborn gauntlet , have a decent heal who have a HP ratio so being high HP is rewarding , he give Armor to nearby allies and himself, he can reduce enemy armor and lower his in same time , he have a targetted stun with short cooldown mixed with his passive , and finally he have a good damage ult that bring bonus AD and AP for nearby allies.. He do everything. I dont get why people complain about Taric , he is useful, actively and passively . I love Taric and i would prefer only à model update over à full overhaul.

Very boring playstyle.
A walking Armor-buffing champion, the reason why Sona was reworked a little before.
Doesn't have much CC & poke compared to other Support champions.
Q heal is very mediocre.
Press R to grant everyone bonus AD & AP for technically no reason.
A very short stun duration, no matter how far between you & your target are.

While I do like Taric, he is an old champion with a very outdated kit. A lot could be done to make him a lot more fun (than he already is) and have him much more active for people to play! I mean since they already plan to Visucally update him, might as well do a full rework! He needs one badly!

I'm going to say this as a player who enjoys playing Taric.

His kit is rather clunky to play with.

A significant portion of his power is invested in auras (which, while not weak, don't really feel overly satisfying).

Depending on how they change him, they could make his kit far more satisfying and fluid.

Though I'm hoping that they retain his scaling (mediocre early with a focus on protection, powerful late-game with a focus on fighting) and passive. He's essentially a second bruiser late-game with a massive amount of utility.

His kit is, quite frankly, terrible. His ult is just a derpy AoE barely-any-damage ability with an aura slapped onto it, his heal is just stupid and kinda pointless, a point and click stun doesn't make sense anymore, and then he gets that weird armor aura/armor shred active. He's really efficient, but he's just so grindy and annoying to play. There's no payoff except that "Victory" screen, and if that's all you want, there are better champs for that.

Because his kit stomps adcs pretty hard, and we can't have that can we? Also his kit needs a rework, at least on his ult. I love playing Taric and I honestly think that he does needs this rework.

taric does not have counterplay and he isn't original

he's a dated, bad design with no real windows of power and no major interaction with enemies. he is oppressive when he's a top pick
