I think this leaves out one major point....RNG is just almost completely unnecessary in esports - so it´s not the tournament-mode that should be adjusted, but the gamemechanics. It´s not like it´s weather-influence or sth., it´s just coded in a way that provides RNG because of some heritage in most cases that went through unchecked/without 2nd thought if the RNG really does add sth. to the game: a good example is crit in LoL...it´s there because it´s some of the ancient stats used in RPGs - but without bearing in mind that it´s a full functional stat in a PvE environment with really long fights, while in PvP/short-trades all it offers is a luck-factor...adding mostly frustration at best.
