Those happy feels when you get close to promos

I was in my promos for Gold (this will be my first time to Gold!) earlier today. I wanted to get to Gold by myself and I was updating my friend on how my series was going. He's plat. When I say that I've lost my second match, he says, "Wait I'm getting on." We play together (since it's Flex queue) and we win the first match. Then in the second match, he gets filled bottom lane. He normally queues jungle/fill, so I tell him he shouldn't be surprised, but he's surprised nonetheless and somewhat pissed off because he doesn't like playing bot lane. Early in the match, Sona apparently plays badly then takes a cannon minion, so he starts to flame her. He plays a lot of support, so he uses that as justification to flame her. "as a support main what you're doing is so tilting". Sona then takes a second cannon minion and he types some more flame then ragequits the match.

I manage to convince him to come back by reminding him that this is my series to gold and that if I lose then I'm out, that other people's LP is on the line, and that he's going to get hit by a leaverbuster. He comes back after three minutes and we proceeded to win the game.

I lost the third match so I'm not Gold, but that third match was just a stomp overall, nothing too notable.
