Bronze/Silver toxicity

Every single game that I do bad, people harass me for it, and verbally abuse me.. I end up getting so frustrated that I end up saying something back, and then all of a sudden I'm the bad guy, and at the end of the game, I get a message from riot saying "blah blah everyone has bad games blah blah but its not an excuse for being toxic"

Just had a game where I was playing Jinx, and had a bard support.. against graves leona.. we got the first kill, then continuously got tower dove after they hit 6.. with help from their top, mid & jungle... with no MIA's from my team or help from my yi jungle.. all we got was rude remarks about how we were dying...

How do people resist the urge to let your team mates know exactly how stupid they're being, after getting harassed and getting 0 help for the entire game.

It's so frustrating, that because I have a bad score, received 0 help.. as soon as I say something back to my abuser, that I'm the bad guy in the eyes of my entire team, and then they get the enemy team to join in on the reporting..

is it the same for other Tiers?

I've never been out of Bronze, but I'm guessing there's less toxicity as you move up. I would just say something to the extent of "try to keep a positive attitude" and leave it at that and just report at end of game. Don't get caught up in it. I don't mute because I want to still communicate for objective purposes, but if you have to do that, then mute people.
