And this is why nobody plays Support

Last game, I was playing Support Kayle. Got pushed out of bot by a Jinx and Ashe, started roaming to deal with problems in other lanes. After helping Yi score a double kill under our turret in top, he runs into the jungle and is killed by Jinx, leaving her with 3/5 of her HP.

I start recall, and he yells at me to finish her off. When she runs out and starts shooting me, I ult myself and poke her with me E until she runs away, still with 1/3 of her health. Yi yells at me for not killing her when he told me to. I point out that I am not building damage, and couldn't kill her no matter what. He responds with "I've seen Kayles carry"

PLEASE. Set DIFFERENT expectations of what a good Support does! Don't judge how good a player is by their capacity to shred opponents or burst down tanks! I helped that Yi get a double kill! But I didn't commit suicide by running after the enemy ADC? TERRIBLE PLAYER Supports are people too, but we don't get supported back!

You are wasting your time posting about this. This will never change. Your only option is the mute button. Good luck to you.

You're playing support Kayle and complaining? Pick Zilean if you wanna pick non-meta champions.

If you're bronze, u should probably build your support with damage anyway... I know it sucks but buy wards don't take cs and build so that u can carry when someone else inevitably feeds or goes afk. I like how the only way to win in bronze is to develop poor playing strategies. So self-defeating.

Been there, had similar things happen. Some players will see someone get away and go "why didn't you run that [X champ] down?" My usual response has been. "I won't overextend in a chase."

Of course then you get shouted at for being too passive even though the idea was to avoid giving away a kill to an enemy champ.

When I do chase, I die far more often than I succeed in getting that kill.

How did yi not gank a jinx/ashe bot lane and get a double kill every time? They are so squishy.

I'll give you another example, since we're on the topic.

Yesterday I was playing support as Janna in a normal. I was queued with our ADC and Jungler, whom I am friends with and was chatting in skype with. We were doing fairly well in lane (Janna + Draven is pretty damn good against Graves + Leona) and he had already popped his stacks on a kill, so I decided to roam and help my friend invade their jungle.

Just when we got to their red, we spotted the enemy Vi ganking mid so we both went mid to countergank. Orianna and Vi almost got away to their turret, but just before they could escape I flashed behind them and ulted them back into lane. As a result of my flash ult, Ahri missed a charm which probably would have hit the Orianna, but we got the double kill with both kills going to our jungler.

Ahri was furious. She called my flash play terrible amongst other things, because I was supposed to know she had charm and that she wasn't going to whiff it. We got the double kill and won the game handily, but that Ahri did nothing but BM me and my friends in chat for the rest of the game. I didn't die a single time other than executing at the end in their nexus (because Janna OP) but she made sure to take it out on both my friends every time they made a misplay, and in the post game screen she asks the enemy team to report me for intentionally helping the enemy team with that flash play.

Here's the thing - I didn't have to come mid. Neither did my jungle friend. We saw a gank mid and we BOTH showed up to help. You should be grateful for that. You should also be grateful that we secured the double kill. Who flipping cares if I made you miss your charm, we got BOTH of them AND the turret!

Sigh.

At this point, the only way to improve your situation is to not be matched with jerks. I've noticed that team builder tends to be less toxic than blind pick in the 20-30 summoner level range. You might want to try that for a bit. Trust me, the longer queue times are worth it. As a support though, your queue times might be even shorter than in blind pick. Give it a try.

Don't play with garbage players if you don't want them to throw garbage at you.

People don't play support because Supports can't carry a game. You can't carry your way out of Bronze relying on bronzies to carry you out. Or silver, or even gold sometimes.
