Its just that you guys seem to be releasing Valentines and Chinese New Year in early January when the holidays aren't until late January and mid February. The next patch should be out around the 21st, and even if riot delays it until the 26th because of the holidays that's still literally an entire month before Chinese new year.
Any ideas on why they are doing this so soon?
That's how it is now. No team is directly tied to releasing their content at a specific time of the year, so now they can work at their own pace and get more out. Events won't be so grand as the Burning Tides event for example, but we get more stuff.
Just because it's on the PBE doesn't mean they are released the next patch.
These are waring kingdom skins, not lunar revel skins, which are not based off lunar new year. (Lunar new year is actually a East Asian thing).
Heart Seaker is a bit early, but I don't know if Riot will hold off release or not.
