Did my promos and got promoted straight to diamond 1. It's in Halo 5 but still it counts.

Dragonlord71371 votesThe true secret is that during your promos your MMR or match making rating becomes uncapped allowing you to increase or decrease it by playing normals. If you win against gold players you will be placed in at least silver. Basically you can modify your rank by just playing normals after playing your first promo game.
