Referral Pending? Help please :)

Hey, I am just a bit confused here and I would love someone to help me straighten things out.

I recently invited my nephew to League of Legends giving him the link I got from the refer-a-friend page. My nephew lives in the same house as I do (we share a computer) so i watched him click the link to make sure everything was done correctly.

He is now level 5 but on the refer-a-friend page it says his status is still pending. I am worried that there was a bug/something went wrong.

Please help.

edit: it has been about 5 hours maybe since the referral link was clicked on? my nephew is home from school because he's been sick. he has played dota a lot but i told him he should at least try League and he hasn't been able to take many breaks haha. he loves it and seems to be a quick learner. i have been giving him tips/telling him what to buy/what the different roles are and such.
