I was gonna start making League videos after my new computer comes in and I was wondering is there any decent free screen capturing software out there? I'm cheap, only because I spent over $2000 on a new desktop after saving it all from working at a low cut job.

If it's got an Nvidia graphics card like GTX 560 or higher it has Nvidia Shadowplay, which pulls the video off teh GPU instead of going through the CPU first, drastically reducing the performance hit to nearly nothing.
If you have that knockoff brand AMD (jk) I don't think they have their own, but you can use the free FRAPS and I think OBS which is usually used for streaming can do it too.
Those capture raw footage of course. If you want to save replays of your games so you can spectate later and record that, I suggest BaronReplays.
